Shipping Policy
How we process, pack, and dispatch research materials — including temperature-controlled and hazardous shipments.
Last updated: June 27, 2026
All shipments contain materials intended for laboratory and research use only. By placing an order you confirm you are a qualified buyer and that delivery is to an appropriate research or business address.
1. Order processing
In-stock orders are typically processed and dispatched within 1–2 business days of payment confirmation and any required eligibility checks. Orders placed on weekends or holidays are processed the next business day. Custom, bulk, or made-to-order items may require additional lead time, which we will communicate at the time of quote or order confirmation.
We may hold an order pending verification of buyer eligibility or delivery address. If we are unable to verify an order, we will contact you and may cancel and refund it.
2. Shipping methods & rates
We ship via established carriers (e.g. UPS, FedEx). Available service levels and rates are calculated at checkout or quote based on destination, weight, dimensions, and any special handling requirements. Options generally include:
- Standard ground — most non-hazardous items.
- Expedited / overnight — where available and compatible with the material.
- Freight — for bulk or oversized orders.
Shipping charges, surcharges (including hazardous-material and cold-chain fees), and any applicable taxes are shown before you confirm an order.
3. Hazardous materials
Certain solvents and reagents are regulated as hazardous materials for transport. These items:
- Ship in compliance with applicable DOT/IATA packaging and labeling requirements;
- May be restricted to ground transport and to specific destinations;
- May incur a hazardous-materials handling fee; and
- Cannot ship to P.O. boxes or certain residential addresses.
We reserve the right to adjust the shipping method of a hazardous item to meet carrier and regulatory requirements.
4. Temperature-controlled shipments
Temperature-sensitive products are packed with appropriate insulation and coolants (e.g. gel packs, dry ice) and may be scheduled to ship early in the week to avoid weekend transit. While we pack to preserve stability in transit, brief temperature excursions during shipping do not necessarily compromise a product; follow the storage and re-test information on the label and Certificate of Analysis upon receipt.
5. Tracking & delivery
A tracking number is emailed when your order ships. Please ensure someone is available to receive temperature-controlled or signature-required shipments. Inspect packages on arrival and store materials according to the stated conditions as soon as possible. Title and risk of loss pass to you upon delivery to the carrier, except where prohibited by law.
6. International orders
We ship to select international destinations where permitted. International buyers are the importer of record and are responsible for all duties, taxes, customs clearance, and compliance with local import regulations. Some materials cannot be exported to certain destinations. Additional documentation and lead time may be required; contact us before ordering to confirm availability.
7. Delays & lost packages
Once a package is handed to the carrier, transit times are outside our control. If your shipment is significantly delayed, shows no movement, or is marked delivered but not received, contact us with your order and tracking numbers and we will help open a carrier investigation. See our Refund Policy for damaged or incorrect shipments.
